Dr. Saarthak Bakshi Founder of Risaa IVF featured in 51 Inspiring Educators Vol. 2 Chapter 22

We are happy to share that Dr. Saarthak Bakshi, Founder & CEO of Risaa IVF, is a co-author in 51 Inspiring Educators: Shaping the Future (Vol. 2), published by Fame Finders Media. His story appears in Chapter 22, titled “The Man Who Chose to Build, Not Just Follow.”

Here is a short look at what his chapter is about.

A Path Already Laid Out

Dr. Saarthak Bakshi was born into a family of doctors. When he picked Biology and Math in school, everyone quietly expected him to follow the same path into medicine.

But he saw something others did not. His parents were skilled doctors, but they did not own a hospital. There was no big institution waiting for him. There was only a path to repeat. For him, that felt like living someone else’s life. He wanted to build something of his own. Something that would last even after he was gone.

The Failure That Taught Him the Most

His first step was a gaming startup called SoftMines. It did not go well. At just 22, he had no mentor and no investor. He made many mistakes, from poor hiring choices to weak money planning. In the end, a clash between co-founders ended the company.

It was a painful time. But he calls it his real MBA. It taught him humility, discipline, and how to build something that can stand the test of time. No classroom could have taught him these lessons.

Finding His Purpose in Fertility Care

After working at Infosys and Ernst & Young, he felt restless again. The salary was steady, but something was missing. He wanted work that meant something.

That search brought him back to healthcare. This time, he came as an entrepreneur and not as a doctor. He chose fertility care, a field full of emotion and science, and one that many people in India still do not talk about openly. This is how Risaa IVF began.

Building a Place of Hope

Risaa IVF has grown into a network of 14 clinics across India. But the chapter makes it clear that growing big was never the only and last goal.

Dr. Bakshi believes trust does not come from rules alone. It comes from culture. So each clinic was made to feel less like a hospital and more like a warm, personal space. The staff are trained in kindness as much as in medical work.

He also believes in promising less and delivering more, instead of chasing numbers with loud marketing. In his view, long-term trust matters more than quick growth.

“Love-Made,” Not “Lab-Made”

One idea he often repeats is that IVF babies are not “lab-made.” They are “love-made.” He has seen how much stigma can hurt. Some couples travel under fake names. Some face quiet judgment at family events. Many suffer in silence for years to protect their image.

His mission is to change this. He wants people to talk about reproductive health as openly as they talk about diabetes or blood pressure.

Failure as a Teacher

The chapter in the 51 Inspiring Educators: Shaping the Future (Vol. 2) also shows how he mentors others. He has backed more than 30 startups, and he looks for “doers, not dreamers.” These are people with real drive and the grit to keep going, even without money or big names behind them.

He shares a story of a young woman founder who built her first product using borrowed Wi-Fi. When he asked how she managed with so little, she said she did not have money, but she had mileage. She kept pushing her idea forward until it worked. That line stayed with him. It reminded him of his own journey.

What We Can Learn From His Chapter

His story holds a simple lesson for teachers, students, and anyone starting something new:

As he writes in the 51 Inspiring Educators: Shaping the Future (Vol. 2), “The most powerful legacy is not what we inherit, but the hope we create for others who follow.”
